Interesting excursion through meadows and
woods along the Frassati trail, the same trail which the devotees took to bring
back the corpse of Vigilio, Bishop of Trento, (later made Saint) to Trento,
killed towards the end of the fourth century by the inhabitants of the Val
Rendena who opposed his work of evangelization.
From
Molveno along the footpath of Lake Molveno to Lake Nembia: 30 meters
after the” Nembia” restaurant follow the road on the left that leads to the
sanctuary of Deggia. Continue towards Moline on path 613 of San Vili.
The route skirts the western slope of Mount Ranzo up to the small chapel
dedicated to Saint Vili. The village of Ranzo is just another 500 meters away.
For the more dynamic....the same path descends steeply to Toblino Castle.
