Lake Lagorai is located at an altitude of
1870 in a grassy clearing in the north-western chain of the Lagorai. The hike
starts from the hamlet of Lagorai Tesero, Val di Fiemme, Trentino, along
the forest road of Val Lagorai up to where vehicles are allowed. Continue to
trail 316. It's delimited by the Cimon
of Cadinello and Cima Formion in the south-east and Castel Bombasel in the west. Another possible way of access,
albeit longer, is by the lifts in Val Cavelonte, starting just south of the
town of Molina di Fiemme or Panchià (forest road by car for a short distance).
Follow trail 354 to Malga Toazzo (m1468).
Here, take trail 319 that goes up the
steep ridges of Mandre di Muro to the remains of the homonymous refuge: here
take a sharp right (north) and then left (west) to you the Forcella di
Cadinello (m.2124) from where you can admire Lake Lagorai and in about 40
minutes reach it.
